I designed this poncho for when I want to feel dressed up yet warm and cosy.

This poncho is knitted using speckled 4ply yarn held with a strand of mohair. I used Colliston Yarns in Auchmithie and Drops Kid Silk in Curry to highlight the gold specks in the yarn. Both sides of the poncho are knitted flat. The front section has neck shaping and two buttonholes.
The neck stitches are then picked up from both sides and knitted in the round (or can be knitted flat and joined after). The only finishing required is joining the shoulder seams and sewing
the buttons on.
