IT is too early to robe oneself in four-ply wool, but cool enough for wearing lighter woollens during autumn mornings. This jumper could give good service during the next few weeks, and then, when winter comes, it would look well under the tweed suit.

MATERIALS: 9 oz 3-ply wool; No. 11 needles.

MEASUREMENTS: Bust, 34 inches; length to underarm seam, 13½ inches; sleeve at underarm seam, 5 inches.

TENSION: 9 stitches and 10 rows to one inch; always knit into the back of all cast-on stitches.
