Ava is a warm, extra slouchy hat pattern featuring a combination of horizontal and vertical post stitches. The cozy stitch pattern and generous slouch of this hat will keep you toasty warm and super stylish at the same time, making it the perfect go-to winter accessory! This pattern contains helpful, clear photos and easy to follow, detailed instructions.

This is an original design, using US crochet terms. You may not copy, distribute or sell this pattern as your own design, but feel free to sell finished hats made from this pattern!

Skill Level:Intermediate (Requires knowledge of hdc and dc stitches).

Size: One size fits most. Hat brim measures approximately 18” around, and will stretch. Finished hat measures approximately 10-10.5” long.

Materials:
-A total of approximately 250 yards light worsted weight yarn. Example uses Lion Brand Wool Ease in Paprika. For best results, use a soft yarn with some drape for this hat.
-2 small buttons (I used 5/8” buttons)

Tools:
-Hook: Sizes H/8 (5mm) and K/10.5 (6.5mm), or size needed to obtain correct gauge.
-Yarn needle
-Tape measure
