I started designing this shawl for the 2010 Ravelympics but quickly fell short of that goal. However, I have finished the sample and the pattern is available! It has both charted and written instructions!

This shawl, like the bookmark I designed previously, is dedicated to my wonderful friend Larissa Niec and her incredible first novel, Shorn, published by Mercury Retrograde Press. It is the inspiration and the driving force behind the design.

I was also fortunate enough to work with an incredibly talented independent dyer, Jen Hintz of FibroFibers, to get the colorway ‘Shadow on Snow’ which is a direct quote from Larissa.

More about Larissa at her website, and more about Shorn in our Ravelry group.

Kits for the shawl are available from FibroFibers.
