Inspired by the bitter cold of Montreal winters, and named for the street I take on my walk to work, these leg warmers are not the sort to wear with tights and ballet flats. Designed to be worn over jeans or other winter pants, the stretchy cuff can be pulled over boot tops and up over the knee to cover up any area left exposed between your boots and parka hem.

The colour pattern owes much to the Sanquhar knitting tradition, and is subtle enough to pair with most winter ensembles. The rustic, woolly nature of the Ram Jam will keep you toasty and help repel slush and snow.

Finessing the Fit:
This pattern is written for one size, but can be easily adjusted and customized. The faux seam area in the back is an ideal place to add or remove a few stitches, and changing the needle size and gauge is also suitable here, as the yarn texture can work well at multiple gauges.

Kits from Farm to Cable Yarns include enough yarn to make modfications.
