What am I missing?
B-Side Cardigan
July 5, 2008 - The BSide3.pdf file contains a small error which has been updated in the new BSide4.pdf file for all future pattern purchases, but was not automatically sent out.
Following the errata below, the next line should read:
“Next Row WS: Purl to marker, slip marker, work Row 3 of Ensign’s Braid Cable over next 24 stitches, slip marker, purl to end, slipping markers.”
The numbers that were changed in the last pattern update resulted in the incorrect number of stitches to purl before slipping the marker - the wrong side row instructions are basically to purl to the cable panel, work the cable panel and then purl to the end of the row.
If you wish to receive an updated copy (BSide4.pdf) of the pattern, just let me know by emailing me at cosmicpluto@cosmicpluto.com.
NOTE: There is errata for this pattern as of June 6, 2008 and June 29, 2008. Updated files were sent out June 6 with a chart correction and June 29 with an adjustment to the placement of the cable panel as follows:
“…work 2×2 Ribbing over 13 13, 17, 17, 17{21, 21, 25, 29, 29} stitches, place marker, work Row 2 of Ensign’s Braid Cable Chart over following 18 stitches (increasing to 24 stitches), place marker, work remaining 18 22, 18, 22, 26{26, 26, 30, 30, 38} stitches in 2×2 Ribbing.”
If you have not received an updated copy, please email me at cosmicpluto@cosmicpluto.com. I’m sorry!
Keep your cool with B-Side! The B-Side Cardigan features an easy to knit cable panel on the left front and shoulder, subtle waist shaping, ribbed sleeve detail and ribbed sailor-type collar. The body is worked in one piece to the underarm, then splits for the set in sleeve shaping.
This fun, lightweight cardigan is worked in a kettle-dyed, slightly thick and thin wool-silk blend yarn with lots of character. The sportweight gauge keeps the fabric thin and wearable all year long.
