There is nothing cuter than baby’s feet and hands. So delicate, so small. And there is nothing more special than a hand knitted gift for baby. It is so personal and unique, just like baby.
One of the best things about these socks is that they are perfect for using up any yarn left over from knitting adult socks, meaning you can knit baby and mummy, daddy, granny, granddad, a family relative, or yourself a matching socks with the same yarn!
These socks are knitted in the round on dpns.
The pattern has two sizes for newborn and child. These are magical socks and if you follow the 2nd size but change the foot length they will fit children up to 9 years old. I’ve highlighted where to do this in the pattern.

For this pattern I used:
Yarn & Amounts:
Merino 150 4PLY for the one in white and
WYS Signature 4 Ply in Kingfisher for the colourful one.

Metres: Approx. 9-10g/35m for the first size and
Approx. 22g/88m for the second size.

Measurements: First size to fit 0-3 months (suggested) with foot length of 8.5cm and
Second size to fit from 9 months (suggested) with foot length of 12cm.
(The second size is a magical size and the cast on amount will fit a child up to 7 years old by adjusting the foot length. I’ve highlighted where to do this in the pattern.)

This pattern is great for using up left over sock yarn from adult sock patterns as it only takes 10-15g for the first size.
