I designed and knitted this baby blanket for a special person in my son’s life.
I wanted to make it to have a classic Aran look. It might look complicated but all 3 designs in the blanket are in 8 row repeats, and it is pretty easy to work on once you do a few repeats to get familiar with the pattern.
This pattern is very easy to adjust to make it smaller or larger. I explain in the pattern how to do so.

I made a pair of baby booties (Debbie Bliss’ Baby Booties - you can see them in one of the pictures) and a beanie with left-over yarn to go with this blanket. That made an ultimate gift package for the baby!

Hope you like it as much as I do! When I knit a gift, I love the part where I can think about the recipient with each stitch I knit. It is a lovely gift with so much love!
