I wanted a simple, easy to travel with blanket design and can’t crochet at all! So I designed my own cabled square pattern - kind of like the crocheted granny square. It’s easy to travel with, and a simple pattern that’s easy to memorise.

I love that this gives me freedom to change up the pattern of the squares as I go and add colours as I become inspired.

For me the squares measured around 13cm x 13cm but gauge doesn’t really matter here - it will just change how many squares you have to make to finish the blanket in the size you desire.

This is just the pattern for the actual knitted square! When I’m finished the design I will publish that too.
