This seamless vest is worked in the round from the bottom up to the armholes. The fronts and back are then worked flat. Button closures on each shoulder make it easy to dress baby. The boat motif is worked in reverse stocking stitch on a stocking stitch background. There is a chart only for the boats motif.

You will need a 40cm (16in) 4mm (US6) circular needle (or size to get gauge), and 2 stitch holders. 200, 210, 235, 260, 300, 340m (219, 230, 257, 284, 328, 372yds) of cotton yarn. is needed. This vest is worked in cotton. Please note the gauge is after blocking. Other yarns can be substituted, but a good stitch definition and solid colour is required to show the boats motif.

The vest is available in 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 18 months, and 24 months sizes to fit chest 40.5, 43, 45.5, 48, 50.5, 53cm (16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21in). The finished chest measurements are 47.25, 49, 51, 52.75, 56.25, 58.25cm
(18.5, 19.25, 20, 20.75, 22.25, 23in)

Techniques used: Knit in the round on circular needles. Knit, purl, k2tog, skp, following a chart for the boats motif.
