This hat is worked back and forth on two needles and seamed up the back. Shaping is by short rows at the crown, worked as you go.

The blue cap in the photo is a preemie cap knitted in fingering weight yarn at 6 stitches per inch, but the pattern tells how to make larger sizes by using thicker yarn or more stitches, or both.
