This cabled baby hat will make a great gift or a darling photo prop for that precious bundle in your life.

This is a great pattern to learn to do basic crochet cables. It’s easier than you think. If you can front post treble then you can crochet this hat.

This detailed crochet pattern is complete with colour illustrations on how to crochet cables and instructions on how to make 4 different sizes. Sizes are as follows:

Newborn – 4 ¾ ” long, 5 ¼” wide and 10 ½” in circumference.
Small (1 to 3 months) – 5” long, 5 ¾” wide and 11 ½” in circumference.
Medium (3 to 6 months) – 5 ¼” long, 6 ¼” wide and 12 ½” in circumference.
Large (6 to 12 months) – 5 ½” long, 6 ¾” wide and in 13 ½” circumference.

Pattern calls for 3/4 to 1 1/2 balls (depending on size) of Sirdar® Snuggly 4 ply, but feel free to substitute your favorite baby fingering yarn.
