I call these “Baby Frog Legs” because the first thing my mom texted me after seeing a photo of newborn Harper was, “Awwwwww, baby frog legs!” You know, little babies always have their legs drawn up in a frog-like fashion. It’s extra-cute…just like these baby legwarmers!

Using either the Magic Loop or a set of DPNs, you can whip these up in a day or two. And with the Shibui Sock yarn (or any other gorgeous and colorful fingering-weight yarn), you’ll have a truly beautiful piece for your little one.

You may have noticed that baby legwarmers typically don’t stay up very well… It’s a common problem with ALL of them! However, I will tell you how to use thread elastic to alleviate this problem. The next-to-last photo (the one with the legs up in the air) shows these legwarmers AFTER thread elastic was applied. You can see in the other photos that they were still a bit loose at the cuffs. The last photo shows what the elastic looks like on the inside of the legwarmer.
