This pattern is knit in one piece from the hood, making finishing a snap. However, there is a back zipper to sew in, and a simple single crochet finish along the zipper.

Sizing notation: Instructions are written for the smallest size with changes in parentheses for larger sizes. Sizes from newborn to nearly a year.

MATERIALS
• 2 skeins of “baby friendly” yarn. I recommend Lion Brand: washable wool blend, cotton,or baby alpaca
• Size 5 needles
• Size 7 needles
• 2 stitch holders
• 4 small stitch markers
• crochet hook
• embroidery needle
• sewing needle
• straight pins
• zipper (purchase after completion in 16, 18, 20 or 22” depending on your gauge and yarn choice. Jo-Ann Fabric is a great resource for coated plastic zippers in a variety of colors (joann.com)
