Wondering what to knit your first child or your best friend’s newborn? Nico is a simple, comfy and super cute sweater for sizes 6-9 (9-12, 12-18) months. Our worsted weight singles are super soft and stretchy; a little blocking will take you a long way towards getting the most wear out of this keepsake sweater!

This adorable hooded pullover is a great pattern for advanced beginners. You must be able to knit in the round, pick up stitches, and work the Kitchener stitch. (We are available by email/convo to help you or direct you to a great tutorial, if you are unfamiliar with any of the above techniques.) For experienced knitters, this is a perfect “blank slate” pattern. Add a chunky cable up the front, work a lace trim around the sleeves and hood, stripe it, knit contrasting trim… the possibilities are endless!

Yarn requirements: 2 (2, 2) skeins of Independence from Spincycle Yarns (worsted weight 200 yards per skein).
