Baby Njála is inspired by the shawl Njála. The idea is to have a shawl and baby sweater as a gift combo for a new parent.

The cardigan is worked from the bottom up; the sleeves are knit separately. The body and sleeves are then joined and the yoke is worked with raglan decreases. The sleeves are purposely wider at the cuff to make it easier to dress a small infant. The body is purposely a little bit longer so the garment will “grow” with the child
