Norwegian Style Baby Mittens.

These are thumb-less because babies don’t really need to use their thumbs and who wants to mess with trying to fit the baby’s thumb into the thumbhole anyway.

They fit 0-3 months.

They are knit in the round using the magic loop method and size 2 circular needles.

Use “baby weight” yarn.

Cast on 32 stitches to size 2 circular needles. Join in magic loop and knit about and inch (or longer if you prefer) in a K2, P2 rib for the cuff.

Increase evenly to 42 stitches. (21 on each magic loop needle) and follow chart Right to Left. (To make the second mitten follow the chart LEFT TO RIGHT so that the moose face opposite directions.)

Each row of decreases should be K2tog when to the right of the mitten tip, and SSK when you are reducing to the left of the mitten tip.
