A must-have baby basic: a rollneck sweater knit in the round with cute little “extras” to personalize with. No buttons to irritate babies sleeping on their backs, and a generous neckline make it easy for Mom to pop over that big baby noggin.

Instructions included for a fun little country crochet heart embellishment, or add your own appliqué patch. Unisex style can be done up for little boys with just stripes in fun masculine shades, or find a little sports patch at your local craft store.

Model in first two pics (dark purple & gold version) is 19 months old with a 19” chest and is wearing the 24 month / 22” size.

Difficulty: Advanced Beginner
Constructed in the round from the bottom up, three sections joined for the yoke. Knitting skills required include basic increases and decreases, working in the round, and grafting stitches. For heart embellishment, moderate crochet skills are also required.

The total yardage given includes 50 yards chenille and the balance in worsted “Sierra”.
