This pattern is written for a first year knitter who is ready to move beyond scarves and hats.

My goals for this pattern:
1) teach graph reading in baby steps
2) expand a beginners stitch library.. in baby steps
3) walk the beginner through a basic intarsia color change

I have a student making 3 of these for the holidays. She is using Cascade Washable in vibrant “Tween Friendly” colors. Knitting for nearly a year, Judy gained enough confidence that the last 2 blocks were knit without help.
