Baby Sunshine is a half circle blanket, constructed from the top down.
The blanket is finished with a simple garter stitch edging….a safety edging to ensure little toes don’t get stuck!

The body of the blanket is knit utilising a single 100g/210m skein of solid or semisolid 8ply/DK weight yarn, while the edging uses just a single 100g/210m skein of variegated 8ply/DK weight yarn - an excellent stashbuster! You could also substitute the variegated with tonal scraps to create an impressive look.

Some of my test knitters also found that when Baby Sunshine is knit to pattern, also makes a fab sized shawlette for an adult, or shawl for a child. View elys7’s projects here and here and MrMoosMum’s project here.
