Waist circumference= 18 (19, 20, 21, 22)’’

The pants are worked from the front to the back, with double decreases and double increases to form the crotch. The back and the front are joined together by buttons on the side of the legs. To be sure that the pants are well fitted at the waist, it’s important to use an elastic fiber, as wool (or a yarn with at least 20% of wool in it). If you use other fiber, like cotton, you may need to add an elastic to the waistband.

The new version of the pattern contains instructions to add a drawstring through the waist band.

You may have problems finding this yarn. If you have questions about a yarn substitution, I will be happy to help.
