The pattern tells you how to adjust the number of pattern repeats to get a good fit; the designer used Trekking on size 0 needles and 7 repeats. I used Meilenweit Lana Grossa Cotton on size 2 needles and needed only 6 repeats.

This is an easy to memorize pattern that makes a very pretty pair of socks.
