Classic tattoos and vintage textiles inspired the swallows, but if you omit these motifs and knit in a solid color, the cardi is still absolutely elegant due to its fine gauge. Add the motifs and the contrasting trim and the variations are endless for customizing. The directions are written for mirrored motifs on the chest, but this cardi really invites experimentation and is a great baby shower standard.”
