THIS charming combination of white wool and pale-blue silk makes a useful as well as pretty adjunct to Baby’s wardrobe.

Materials: One ounce of four-ply fingering in white, ½ hank of silk or artificial silk in any dainty color, 1 yard of ribbon ½ in. wide to match the silk, 1 pair of No. 10 knitting-needles (Old UK) and a No. 1 steel crochet-hook.

Measurements: Length from the top of shoulder, 11 in.; width all round, 22 in.; length of the sleeve from neck, 7½ in.

Tension: Nine stitches to 1 in. in width and 11 rows to 1 in. in depth.
