Malsen og Mors Babywearing sweater is a cosy and useful warm layer to be used when you carry your child in a baby carrier or sling. You can use the sweater over front and back carries, as the sweater can be worn with the opening for the baby either on your chest or on your back. The sweater is long and wide, with quite narrow sleeves. It has extra space for the baby by way of a wedge with extra material below the baby opening. The baby opening can be buttoned shut, allowing you to use the sweater without your little one as well.

The Babywearing sweater is knit top down and in the round, with raglan increases in the yoke. The body is worked in stockinette, while the sleeves are worked in k1, p1 ribbing. The Babywearing sweater is knit with a gauge of 14 stitches per 10 cm. Consider knitting the sweater with a somewhat looser gauge and larger needles than the yarn you use calls for.
