Note: As of April 2008, Mag Knits has ceased publication and removed its archives from the Internet. I have now made it available through Ravelry.

Description from MagKnits: When moving to India to conduct my dissertation research for two years, a sophisticated friend encouraged me to take along “one sexy top” for when life in the field demanded a respite to a nice, clean place to relax and enjoy a cocktail. The combined influence for the “Baccarat Player” was the ubiquitous dupatta scarf that girls and women in India drape around their shoulders, and the “sexy top” by Elaine Perlov that was my cocktail attire.

The back of this garment is lightly shaped, and the draping in the front is provided by the shaping with side increases in the lower body, and middle increases in the upper body. Light structure is given by a row of single crochet along the armholes, bottom edge, and back neck edge.
