BACK THEN is a high neck cardigan that won’t fall off the shoulders, even if you wear it with open fronts. The texture and the different colored sleeves are made to play with yarns and colors!

I started it as a stash buster project and mixed variegated yarns with semi-solids (for the sleeves), throughout held together with kit seta lace in various tones of lighter grey, to balance all colors
The second version has a delicate fade, only from changing the mohair thread.

Yarn details for both versions are included in the pattern

BACK THEN Cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down. You start working the collar separately. Then you pick up as well as CO sts for the back and shape the back neck with short rows. Continue to work the back for the length of the armhole. Pick up the stitches for the front and work both fronts symmetrically for the length of the armhole. Then you join back and fronts to work the body in stitch pattern down to the bottom ribbing. Pick up the sleeve sts to work the sleeves in rounds in stitch pattern.
