Baileys is a delicate cardigan that balances elegant details and seamless design a classic cardigan. Featuring a cable and lace motif in a seemingly complex pattern that’s actually quite simple.

When paired with a lace collar, an open neckline, delicate buttons, and a creamy silk-merino-cashmere yarn, it all adds up to create a light, feminine vibe in this design -- while a cabled button band, stockinette panels, and a turned hem bring the sweater back down to earth. Simple and flirty at the same time.

Shaping is centered on the back, which - like the arms - is knit in stockinette, so you can make a few flattering mods as you go. The sweater is knit in one piece from the bottom up. The hem is seamed, and sleeves are worked separately in the round and attached at the yoke The collar and button bands are added at the end.

Lace and cable motif is both written and charted.
