The Balcones Hang Towel is customizable to whatever length fits your application. It uses a highly textured knit and purl pattern that looks especially good when done in ombre, variegated, or multicolored yarn.
Step-by-step, detailed, and easy to follow instructions for a large buttonhole are included. Use 100% cotton worsted weight yarn for maximum absorbency. I’ve also included instructions for a dishcloth.

“The Balcones Escarpment. It is geology’s most fateful mark upon the surface of Texas, a bulwark of cracked and weathered rock that extends in a pronounced arc from Waco to Del Rio. It is the Balcones that creates the Hill Country…” - From the December 1987 issue of Texas Highways.

There is also a photo to show why this is a well suited stitch pattern for multi colored yarns.
