Originally released as Indigodragonfly: Smart-Ass Knitters/World Domination 1 Skein Club - June 2012 Club Pattern.

“Baldersquash, when uttered in an exasperated tone, passes perfectly for profanity.
I learned this, as with many of life’s worthwhile lessons, from Laurel, my seven year old daughter.”*

What could be more smart-ass than a pair of socks that may fool even the most astute of your knitting friends?

Some may just not believe that this lushly textured pattern is formed simply from increases and decreases, without a single cable cross. Seriously. This gives a bit more stretch than a cabled sock, uses a little bit less yarn and provides all the WOW of interlocking diamonds filled with moss stitch.

Save these for the knitters in your life (or better yet, for yourself), as the non-knitters in your life may just not get it.
Enjoy!

Size Notes:
One Size

To adjust leg circumference, adjust the needle size up or down to create a looser or tighter sock.
To adjust foot circumference, work fewer or more gusset decreases, rearranging the stitches so that there are equal numbers on the foot and sole halves before working the toe.
For all sizes, work a longer heel flap than you think you will need.
