Designed by the late Paula Emons-Fuessle, the Balsam Hollow shawl was originally commissioned by me for one of my most popular kits, inspired by Anne of Green Gables.

The shawl is knitted from the top down in simple garter stitch. A leafy lace border emerges from the garter stitch body. Instructions for the lace are both written and charted.

There are two sizes, standard (which uses 2 skeins of my sportweight yarn) and large (which uses 3 skeins of my sportweight yarn).

The original version in 2014 was created with Leading Men Fiber Arts yarn (Callback base) which is still a great choice.
