Baltic Amber Socks feature a textured slip-stitch pattern that will help them stay up all day — no slouchy socks by evening! The pattern is offered in four sizes so you can knit the perfect fit. These socks are knit from the top down with a traditional gusset construction, and an eye of partridge heel flap echoing the textured pattern. Work these up in your favorite sock yarn for a cozy addition to your sock drawer.

This pattern assumes knowledge of working in the round. Both charts and written directions are provided for all stitch patterns.

Special Sizing Notes: The slip-stitch Amber Pattern creates a tighter fit that does not have very much stretch. If you are a tight knitter, or if you are unsure of what size to choose, please consider knitting one size larger to acheive a comfortable fit.

Suggested Yarn: Wandering Wool Helvellyn Sock, or other fingering / sock weight yarn that knits to gauge.

Sizes: S (M, L, XL) to fit lower leg circ. up to 10 (11½, 13, 14½)” / 25.5 (29, 33, 37) cm
(Measure around your lower calf area, where the top of your sock cuff would sit)

Yarn Requirements: 340 (390, 440, 490) yds / 311 (357, 402, 448) m

Gauge: 34 sts and 64 rounds = 4” / 10 cm in Amber pattern on larger needles
