This slouch is inspired by the Baltic States, their beautiful landscape and knitted garments. It is worked with two fingering weight yarns held together (main colour) and a lace weight mohair yarn held double (contrasting colour). Use similar shades of yarn colours for both MC and CC to gain the desired pattern effect. This hat is a super long slouch, designed to wrap you in a wonderful slip stitch pattern and helps you staying warm. Using light weight yarns makes this slouch very adapting to your head shape and feels like a feather while wearing. It comes in five sizes (from toddler to adult) and is adjustable in length.

MATERIALS: 1 x 4.5mm/ US 7 circular needles or double pointed needles - 2 -
(choose preferred method!)
1 x marker (for beginning of round)
1 x tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)

YARN: MC: Fingering Weight Yarn (I used Holst Garn Supersoft)
CC: Lace-Weight Mohair Yarn (I used Lana Grossa Silkhair)
Both MC and CC held double!
For choosing yarns, I recommend using similar shades of colours for both MC and CC, to get the desired pattern/colour effect.
If you want to use a heavier weight yarn instead of 2 strands of lighter weight yarn, I recommend using a DK or Worsted Weight Yarn, which gives you the gauge.

Note: You’ll need just about half of the amount of yarn, if you’ll use heavier weight yarn instead of two strands of light weight yarn held together.
