Bambuseae comprises diverse woody species from tropical regions, icluding herbaceous bamboo and woody bamboo.

The Bamboo stalks on the Bambuseae socks are good for variegated yarns and preventing colour pooling with the slipped stitches.

Keep the slipped stitch “floats” loose as you would in colour work. Don’t bunch them up on the needles and make them too tight.

Instructions are both charted and written.

December’s Knit-From-Stash 2016 Botanical series.

This is a great sock pattern for disrupting yarns that tend to have colour pooling. 2016 has been a doozy. My test knitters actually dubbed these the Lucky Bamboo socks for finishing off 2016 and starting 2017. These are the last socks of #KFS2016 and the new #KFS2017 will begin Dec 31.
