I wanted to use the interesting color combinations and irregularly spaced striping of contemporary Nepali export textiles, and this shape just leapt onto the pages of my sketch book. This wrap cardigan is simple to knit in rows on circular needles, but the glory is in the details-- narrow bands of seed stitch control the rolled hem and edgings, set-in sleeves allow a close fit at the shoulders without cluttering the cardigan’s clean lines, and occasional bright bursts of color keep things interesting for both the knitter and the lucky wearer.

Available in sizes S (36”) through 2X (52”), the vented hip and long wrap ties mean you can fudge the sizing a bit one way or another.
