This blanket was designed for a fellow shipmate who served 20 years in the Navy.  Shortly after he retired, he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  He requested something in his ‘cancer color’, lime green.  Knitpicks Sour Apple shade is a perfect fit.

This blanket is comprised of only knit and purl stitches, creating a manly diagonal pattern.  Alternating the directions of the stripes creates an interesting diamond motif off centered in the blanket. Completely reversible!

The oversized measurements are to accommodate a taller individual as well.  Swish is the perfect choice as it has so many colors and is machine washable.
