Barn Owl fingerless gloves/mitts in 4ply weight yarn - wool, cashmere or cotton could be used.

The gloves will fit an average size hand and are approximately 9cm/3½” wide (un-stretched) x 18cm/6¾” long from bottom edge of cuff ribbing to top of glove.

The Barn Owl, knitted using the intarsia method, is in cream with black and yellow eyes, brown beak, coffee/black claws and beige feather markings.

The gloves take approximately 40gm of the background colour, 10gm cream for the main part of the Barn owl and oddments of the other colours.

The gloves could also be made in plain stocking stitch and the owl pattern added afterwards using duplicate stitch.
