Barnacle Shawl is a top down crescent shaped shawl. Once you are done with the knitting, you crochet the border. For the sample we used

Ella Rae Lace Merino (460 yards/100grams)

1 hank of main color (Taupe)
0.5 hank of contrast color (Hot Tutti Fruitti)

US 5 32” circular needle
F crochet hook

Pattern instructions for the knitted section are written out, for the crochet section they are written and charted.

To get a nice drapey shawl, you should check gauge in garter stitch. The sample is 5 stitches per inch on a US 5 needle.
