Sometimes, you have to let the yarn do the talking; refrain from standing in the way and let the colors and the fiber shine on their own. And sometimes, you need to indulge in softness and warmth. That’s what the Basalt Cloud cowl is all about. Simple and beautiful.
The cowl is worked in a lovely hand-spun pure alpaca yarn, but you can substitute your own hand-spun or a yarn that you’ve been cherishing and saving for that perfect pattern.
The Basalt Cloud cowl is especially designed with thick yarns in mind and uses no decreases so as to avoid bulk. The all-over stitch pattern would also look good in other yarn weights. What ever yarn you choose, wrap yourself in coziness.

Yarn
Katia Pacha (Jumbo; 100% Alpaca; 40 meters / 44 yards per 100 grams); 2 skeins; sample uses 199 grams in color 53 (grey/brown mix).
This pattern is suitable for any yarn weight. Recommendations are given to customize the pattern and to work with any yarn weight from Light Fingering to Jumbo.
