Gear up your male fashion doll with the Base Camp Sweater—where rugged outdoor grit meets urban cool. Whether he’s kicking back fireside at a weekend hideout or navigating the city streets with effortless swagger, this versatile knit delivers style that moves with him. With both a pullover henley and a classic cardigan option sized for 12”–12.5” (30.5-31.75 cm) dolls, it’s the perfect layer for wherever the day leads. Bonus: Flip it around for a clean crewneck look when it’s time to change things up.

Pattern has been professionally tech edited and test knit to reduce the potential for error.

CONSTRUCTION

Both the henley pullover and the cardigan sweater are knit from the top down. Piece is worked flat until underarms, where stitches are then reserved for the sleeves on scrap yarn. Pullover body is then worked in the round whereas the cardigan variation is worked flat below the underarms. Both pullover and cardigan sleeves are worked in the round after picking up the reserved sts from the scrap yarn.

YARN NOTES

Variegated yarns work great for this sweater, but look for yarn with short color changes to get the best effect. Additionally, pick a yarn with a good twist. It will be easier to work when using such small needles.
