There was minimal contouring of the face required, I just contoured the nose crevice to better define the cheeks.

You can use whichever yarn weight and hook size you prefer. This will however change the overall size of your project.

Bashful stands at 18cm/7 inches tall (to the tip of the hat) and 15cm/6 inches wide (with the arms extended) with 4ply yarn and a 2mm hook.
