This pattern gives instructions for a basic aran/worsted weight beanie with many ideas to customize. It explains how to make it by knitting flat (back-and-forth) and I briefly explain how to convert it to working in the round. Grab your favorite aran yarn, decide the style of your brim and get casting on! This hat will take you no time at all and is perfect as a newborn photography prop or for a very special newborn in your life.

Bonus instructions included to make a cute little cable beanie.
