Neither fussy nor boring, the “basic beanie” is perfect for anyone who wants a simply cozy cap. The pattern produces fabulous results with a surprisingly straightforward combination of stitches. Knitting through the back loop causes the stitches to swirl around the hat, giving the k3,p2 ribbing some added interest.
