This is less a pattern than a step by step knitting lesson for someone new to the craft. If you already know how to knit, it may not be super useful to you, but I hope it would be helpful for someone just starting out. I wrote this up largely because I had trouble finding a hat pattern sized between baby and adult when I wanted to make a hat for my then seven year old son. It was very fast, and a good way to use up a skein of yarn I was uncertain about.
