This simple ribbed toque is perfect for the guy who wants a no-frills cap to keep his head warm. The directions given will make a fairly short toque that just covers the middle of the ears, but it would be very easy to make it a few inches longer to create a folded brim.

As written, the pattern calls for 2 50g balls of an aran weight yarn. Only a small amount of the second ball is needed, but sadly, there is just not quite enough yardage to pull it off with one ball. Consider getting two different colours and working stripes, or get three balls and make two hats!
