This is a great pattern to use for charity hats. I’ve sized it from preemie to large adult so it can be made to fit any head. It is also a good way to use up small bits of leftover yarn.

My blog is fairly new but whenever possible I try to offer patterns with 3 levels of difficulty. For this one I’ve included directions for the plain stripes and the slipped stripe pattern worked either on straight needles or in the round. So there are actually 3 levels of difficulty for this pattern with 4 options.

The basic pattern is easily adapted to work any stitch pattern that can be done on an even number of stitches. You can also switch to ribbing for the first few rows and make it a more true beanie.
