The Mole had long wanted to make the I acquaintance of the Badger. He seemed, by all accounts, to be such an important personage and, though rarely visible, to make his unseen influence felt by everybody about the place. - Kenneth Grahame

This is a pattern for a small shoulder bag. It is worked in the round and flat using stranded and intarsia methods. Sts are provisionally cast on at the bottom of the bag and the flower motif is worked in the round. The rest of the bag is worked flat with the Badger on one panel, worked using the intarsia method.
After the Badger is worked, the panels are joined, and the bag is finished in the round.
After blocking and sewing in strap, the zip and lining are sewn in. A small tutorial with photos is included in the pattern on how to place and sew in a zip. You may find a sewing machine easiest to sew the lining, but attaching the zip and lining may be more easily done by hand.
