Here is a bag knitted in the round, roomy enough to hold a sweater in progress and done in a riot of colors which look great together. Some colors in the original might be discontinued. Just pick your own combination.

The bag begins at the bottom with a flat circle and work proceeds in the round, working a bit of color patterning, stripes and solid areas. The yarn is wonderful to handle and to get the same results, I recommend you use the same yarn and colors. I knitted the bag quite firmly so as to minimize stretching. This bag is ideal for knitters! A basket is made from plastic canvas and inserted in the bottom of the bag. When you are ready to knit, just fold the sides of the bag down around the plastic canvas lining and you have a built-in basket. No yam balls rolling across the floor here! The drawstrings are I-cord, knitted around cable cord (my unvention) to prevent stretching.
