These useful baskets can be made in all sorts of sizes and are a great way to use up leftover yarn.

This is a tutorial style pattern for a round basket.

Skill Level:
Easy/Improver
Simple stitches used, experience working in the round would be useful.

Yarn:
This can be made with any most weights of yarn but you really want to use cotton yarn. Especially if you intend to use starch to stiffen.

Needles/Hook:
A hook size down from recommended size for your yarn to create a tight fabric.

You’ll also need:
Spray starch to stiffen
Yarn needle

Size:
Up to you!

Gauge:
Will vary with weight of yarn and size of hook used. You just want it to be tight enough to hold a nice shape when stiffened.
