Pattern description from The Best of Interweave Knits: “Melissa Leapman enjoys knitting projects that blend beautiful, basic yarns with simple, easily memorized stitch patterns. The sweater pieces are worked separately from the bottom up and fitted together with a square (modified drop-shoulder) armhole. The shoulders are slightly angled for a classic fit. Designed for a man, this classic pullover features a basket weave pattern and casual zip-up neck in a soft merino wool. But the clean lines, comfortable fit, and richly textured stitch pattern, will appeal to women, too.”

Finished Size: 44 (48.5, 53, 57.5)“ (112 123, 134.5, 146 cm) chest circumference.

Patons Classic Wool (100% wool; 223 yd 204 m/100 g): #00252 tree bark mix, 10 (10, 11, 12) balls. Note: this particular yarn has been discontinued.
